How to Join

Membership in MIBS is open to public, private and parochial schools that have a bona fide "candidate" or "authorized" status in the IB.

Benefits and purposes of membership

MIBS will:

• Be active support for the IB coordinator in each member school

• Provide a network for collaboration among professional staff

• Serve as a clearinghouse for ideas and materials relating to IB programs

• Provide support for developing IB programs within the region

• Foster recognition and understanding of the IB by universities and colleges

• Act as a liaison between the IB and its members, state boards of education and state legislatures

• Serve as a collective voice and liaison with IB

• Provide education about IB programs and professional development opportunities for schools, districts, universities and state agencies

• Facilitate professional, student and public discussion of all programs of the IB

• Pool resources, ideas and influence to secure the best possible advantages for member schools and its students
